Marjit Vinjerui can make you cry - and she can make you dance. All you have to do is listen.

On on a backlit stage, with or without her great band, her voice will reach out to your heart and mind. She won’t demand your attention, but you’ll give it to her anyway. Folk and country styled tunes, jazzy and playful pop songs, new wave rhythms – critics consistently praised her debut album “Friendly Fools” released in 2010:

“The summer just might be ending, but Marjit Vinjerui certainly makes it last longer with her album “Friendly Fools” (5/6)

This norwegian countryside girl is no longer a newcomer, her career has blossomed. She has performed at several major festivals in Norway and made appearances on national TV and radio. She has played a considerable number of shows in Norway and around Europe. She has travelled to the USA and toured California on two occasions: at first in January 2012 - one girl and her guitar on the road - and again in the Summer of 2013, when she returned with some fellow norwegian musicians to further explore the american West Coast and share her unique musicality.

Since the release of “Friendly Fools” Marjit has focused on developing her song writing and exploring all the melodies drifting around in her head. She loves to share her music with different musicians and hear how her songs can change shape and feeling.
